Q.  How many times a week? Is there a limit?

A.  It is one person per week

 

Q. If 1 hour is not enough, can there be a extension?

A. If the lesson does not end in 1 hour, there may be an extension depending on

         on the tutor. 

Q.Are in-person lessons available?

A. Yes, but only if the child is a student of the Japanese School of Dallas

Q.Do parents have to stay with their child during the lesson?

A. It is not necessary, but you are welcome to be with your child if you wish.

A. What if the scheduled lesson date becomes inconvenient?

Q. Please contact the volunteer  in charge to make arrangements.

 

Q.How will I be introduced to the high school students I am responsible for?

A. Once you have filled out the application form, a representative will contact you.

 

Q. Is all conversation in English?

A. The final goal is to teach English, but depending on the level of the student, We               will use Japanese and English accordingly

Q.    Do I need to prepare any teaching materials?

A. If the child can bring a textbook or book used at school it will be appreciated. 

        Other than that, please prepare an environment that allows meetings to be held

        on Zoom. 

Q. Will there be a payment?

A. As a volunteer group, Global Vision offers sessions free of charge. However, in

         order to expand our activities, we also accept donations of $2 to $3.

 

Q.  Is it possible to change the volunteer in charge?

A. It may be difficult due to schedule limitations, but please contact us below.

A. If you have any questions, please contact us using the contact information 

         below.

 

Q. I have completed the application form, but I have not received an email with

         instructions.

A. When we receive your application form we will send you an email with instructions within 2-3 days. ​ ​ ​ It may be in your spam mail, so please check it.

 

Global Vision is a volunteer group made up of high school students. We understand that we may not be able to deliver the best experience but will hope to learn from these volunteer experiences and use it to better support our students.
